Trader Joe's Food Guide: Quick Fixes

We're busy people, which is why we appreciate the art of a quick meal. Luckily the Trader Joe's freezer aisle is full of options for one-bag bites that satisfy the taste buds and don't require a major time investment. Check out our favorite quick-fix meals below.

Frozen Turkey Meatballs: For fully-cooked meat in minutes

These might not be freshly hand-rolled meatballs, but they're pretty darn good. This fully cooked frozen option is one we can prep in a jiffy when there's no time for a gourmet dinner. Simmer them in a tomato basil sauce or a vodka sauce then top them over rice, spaghetti, carrot spirals, you name it.

Mandarin Orange Chicken: For a substitute to takeout without leaving the house

We love this orange chicken because it takes less than 30 minutes to bake, the sauce is included, it's easy and addicting. Enjoy this Chinese takeout dupe over rice, topped with scallions and sesame seeds and you've got yourself a delicious Asian-inspired dinner without the takeout containers.

Broccoli and Kale Slaw: For a filling pre-made salad with zero fuss

Spending time chopping and prepping a salad is a good excuse to forego veggies and reach for a frozen burrito instead, which is why we love the pre-made salad kits at TJ's. The broccoli and slaw kit is made with fresh ingredients like chopped broccoli and kale, roasted sunflower seeds, slivered almonds, and dried berries. There's a sweet, creamy slaw dressing on the side, so we can portion-control or nix it altogether for a dressing we prefer more.

Arugula & Parmigiano Reggiano Ravioli: For an easy Italian dish with minimal effort

TJ's ravioli is imported straight from Italy, which explains why it tastes so delicious. At a price point of just $3.49, these deliciously stuffed shells cook in a quick three minutes. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil or add your preferred sauce for a quick, easy meal that's authentic and appetizing.

Organic Low Sodium Vegetable Broth: For a broth-base shortcut

We've discovered that broth can be added to virtually any dish to elevate the flavor and create a savory base. We guarantee that there's a box or two of this vegetable broth in our pantry for when we whip up soup on a whim or when we commit to a long-simmered Dutch oven meal.
